New Accreditation For Community Lincs
posted by John Slater on 17th February 2010 at 09:34:22Following rigorous independent inspection Community Lincs has been awarded the level 3 accreditation for rural community councils by Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE). This is the highest award of its kind and is used to identify good practice.
A review of the organisation was undertaken during January 2010. It included an examination of documentary evidence, interviews with external stakeholders and a two day site visit which included interviews with a variety of staff and board members.
The review was undertaken by Trevor Bevan of Norfolk Rural community Council who said “Community Lincs has made giant steps since the last review. Feedback from external stakeholder interviews with funders, partners and users was positive. Community Lincs is seen as a very receptive organisation, open in terms of partnership working and providing an excellent service. The flexibility of both staff and management is applauded.”
Community Lincs Chief Executive, Fiona White, said “This is important to us. At a time when accountability and scrutiny are under the microscope our organisation has to demonstrate that it operates effectively and efficiently. The endorsement provided by this review does just that and I am confident that we are capable of making even more progress in the future.
