Measuring Broadband

posted by John Slater on 24th February 2010 at 10:11:11

Access to broadband is getting better but some areas, especially in rural parts of the country, suffer from very slow speeds. This can be a significant barrier to business development and frustrating for home users, particularly in households with multiple demands on their internet connection. Good quality data on broadband speed and the quality of service from different providers has proved elusive. emda has now developed a new tool to test speeds throughout the East Midlands. Full details are available at here and Community Lincs is encouraging participation. Please have a go yourself and persuade others to do the same.
