Yes you can!
Community Lincs is encouraging all organisations and groups, big or small, to take simple practical steps to improve their local environment and create a cleaner, greener, fairer and safer future by taking part in the Every Action Counts (EAC) programme.
EAC is an innovative programme that is engaging national and local voluntary and community sector organisations in work to protect and improve our environment and to deliver sustainable development solutions.
The programme focuses on taking action in five key areas:
· Save Energy
· Travel Wisely
· Shop Ethically
· Save Resources
· Care for Your Area.
The project provides support and resources for all voluntary and community groups who want to get involved.
Why should our group get involved?
Through taking part in the Every Action Counts programme you can:
· Save money or even generate some new funding.
· Raise the profile of your group in your local community and show them you are committed to improving the environment and are doing
your bit to tackle climate change.
· Keep your existing members interested and perhaps attract some new ones.
· Access free resources, including an on-line toolkit, and support to help your group take action against climate change.
How can our group get involved?
Contact Katie May or Samantha Smith on 01529 302466 to discuss training for your community group on how to develop an action plan.
