Our service provides volunteer management committees with support and information including:
- Access to advice by phone, e-mail or visit.
- Expert advice on issues such as the Roles and Responsibilities of Officers, Constitutions and Charity Law etc.
- Access to infomation sheets.
- Copies of example Policies and Model Documents including Equal Opportunities, Child Protection, Health and Safety, Leases and Constitutions.
- Support for funding applications including the Big Lottery and Local Authority Capital Grant Aid.
- Local and National Lobbying - Recent issues have included the Licensing Act 2003, and Local Rate Relief.
- Regular quarterly Village Halls Newsletter (included in Rural Links Magazine).
- Access to local experts from Community Lincs Village Halls Advisory Committee.
- Free entry to the Village Halls Quality Standards Awards Scheme.
- Free entry to the annual John Barker MBE Trophy Competition.
- Cluster group meetings
- Bi-monthly e-news alert
- Free access to a legal helpline.
- Free professional and technical advice.
- Free training (a charge of £20.00 per head is made for non-affiliated halls).
- Free access to advice by telephone from the Village Halls Advisor:
- Affiliated halls are entitled to Free visits from the Village Halls Advisor (non-affiliated halls may book visits from the Village Halls Advisor at a charge of £100.00 per visit).
- Village halls information sheets and publications at cost (only available locally from Community Lincs).
- Opportunity to nominate committee members to stand on the Community Lincs Village Hall Advisory Committee.
